The Youth Department is part of the Directorate of Democratic Participation within the Directorate General of Democracy and Human Dignity (“DGII”) of the Council of Europe. The youth programmes of the Council of Europe are an integral part of a wealth of initiatives aimed at the development of a common European cultural identity.

Quality Label for Youth Centres
A project to promote the European Youth Centres of the Council of Europe as standard-setting instruments and examples of good practice for youth policy, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe welcomed the initiative for an initial pilot phase of three years, starting in 2010.
